Is there lactose in any of your beers?Updated a month ago

Most of our beer is lactose-free, however, two Go Brewing beers that contain a small amount of lactose are the Sunshine State Hazy IPA and Prophets Hazy IPA. Customers with vegan diets please take note.

Lactose is a type of sugar found in milk and dairy products. It's known for its ability to add a subtle sweetness and a smoother, creamier texture to foods and beverages, including beer.

While our beer lineup does not contain milk or direct milk products, we use lactose that is derived from milk. This means that during the brewing process, we incorporate lactose to achieve a certain flavor profile and texture that many of our customers love.

Lactose is used in brewing certain styles of beer, particularly in "milk stouts" or "cream stouts," to add sweetness and body. Unlike other sugars, yeast cannot ferment lactose, which allows it to remain in the beer, contributing to a fuller, richer taste and mouthfeel.
